You’re Fired
You may have seen it coming or not, but whether you are downsized, replaced, or let go, losing one's job can be a devastating blow to anyone's self esteem, financial security, and even relationship with God. The phrase, "you're fired" conjures up a certain reality TV show for some, but there is usually nothing entertaining nor pleasant about losing a job. You may not find yourself in such a situation. Be Here Now
Most people live in one or both of two time frames: the past or the future. Those who are stuck in the past feel chronic guilt from past mistakes or high standards they couldn’t live up to. The First Lie Is Not Dead
Some people might wonder why the topic of death is so relevant today. Isn't this an issue that theologians have debated and settled long ago? The truth is that the question of human nature and destiny is far from being a dead issue. Scholarly studies in recent years indicate a heightened interest is the subject, while religious and secular movies, television, and other media increasingly depict a conscious afterlife where the soul departs from the body at death.
